As a Christian Life Coach, what issues do you face with your clients? Do you deal with church issues, family issues, personal problems? Would like to hear what's going on in your world!

Hi Michael,
I have seen several different issues. Some are dealing with finances, and some with searching. But I also see people being hungry for spiritual balance and life balance. How about you? What do you see?
I also would love to talk about ways that the coaches could support and help each other in helping others. Just thinking that we are all a resource to each other that we are not using. Anyway hope the days are amazing.

Hi Liz:

Good morning my friend. Great questions! I see so many clients with no clue what their problems are. Finances, relationship issues, health issues is what I deal with on a daily basis. Some want spiritual insights, while others just deal with problems as they come. The balance between what is right and wrong comes into play when clients realize there are choices they have to make. So, during the coaching process, we explore what the consequences are to right and wrong actions and what God has to say about it. I offer a Tuesday night Bible study to clients in the Denver Metro area, which has up to 14 people attending weekly. We cover all kinds of topics during each 12 week period. I have three new people attending this week, and may open it up to a tele conference in Feb, so if people want spiritual encouragement and accountability they will have it.

I agree with you so many of us have some great insights to share with other on the LCI forum, and I really don't see any reason why we can't get this thread up and running and start reaching out to each other, you bring up a great point. Are you willing to help me reach out to the Christian Coaches and those interested in using Christian principles to coach clients. I will do whatever I can to help those in need. My calling is to be a servant to those in need, and Life Coaching is my calling. Thanks for responding, bless you!

Dr. Mike

I am willing to twitter you service (website) out from time to time. A group doing that could help each other.

Or exchanging links does a lot. I have a resource page on mine. Whada think? I have a small group that is beginning to help each other. Want to join and if so I need your e-mail.

Hi Michael: I am a Christian, have been certified as a Christian Life Coach, and now as an LCI Coach, but I don't really do "Christian" coaching, though I coach people through transition (www.transitionlifecoach.com). Yes, I'd be interested in some kind of conversation...

Please keep me in the loop!

Default Christian Life Coaches

Though I consider myself a christian, I have not gotten any christian coaching certification. To make sure I am not assuming anything, could someone clearly define and use examples of what christian coaching is and how it differs from non-christen coaching? Also, as christian coach, do you not coach certain types of clients?

Christian Life Coaching is based with issues that are with-in the church. For example many men and women need direction with their walk with God. Some Christian Life Coaches will develop a plan that helps them have a closer relationship with God.

I will ask questions like: Where do you experience God in your life? Do you practice the Spiritual Disciplines? Do you have a devotional plan? How's that working for you? Is Jesus your ultimate purpose in life? What are you looking for in your relationship with God?

What a Spiritual Life Coach does:
  • Sees potential in people as God does
  • Prays for and with those they are coaching
  • Listens to the client
  • Shares scriptures with others as it pertains to their situations
  • Reminds others to exercise their gifts from God
  • Asks people how they experience God and where they feel God is leading them on their spiritual journey
  • Provides loving encouragement
"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2

Eric, that's great, not many Christian Life Coaches get to use their God given talents. What are your spiritual gifts? How do you get to use them? I often wonder if very many coaches know what their gifts are? Just wondering!
